Start / Finish in UK

Tour Information

An established holiday with nice hotels and GPX routes. Our Tuscany self guided motorcycle tour has a real sense of holiday. It includes great biking roads and panoramic views. You will experience Tuscan hospitality and regional gastronomy as well as some of the worlds finest wines. There is also time to visit the most famous cities and tourist attractions.

You will depart from Folkestone to your first overnight stop in France. It is a good quality three star hotel with safe bike parking.

The following morning you’ll continue your journey. It will take you to the Black Forest and your next overnight stop.

From here you will ride through Black Forest and into Switzerland. Your accommodation will be in a comfortable three star biker friendly hotel.

The next morning you’ll continue your journey towards Tuscany. Your base is a delightful thermal spa town. Here you will stay for the next four nights.

Located in tranquil parkland and a short walk from the town center. Your elegant four star Villa style hotel will set the tone for the holiday. The hotel has a swimming pool as well as leisure facilities. It also has a private car park as well as its own restaurant.

Whilst here you’ll have a perfect opportunity to explore the area. There are many options to visit some of Tuscany’s most famous tourist sites. The city of culture Lucca as well as the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci are only a short ride away. In addition you may spend a day in Florence, the city of art. Support the famous leaning tower of Pisa or stroll around the romantic city of Siena. Furthermore a visit to the famous Ducati or Ferrari factory is a must.

In addition to the factory visits there is also the superb ss64. It is a legendary mountain road often used by Ducati for testing their bikes. The route runs from Bologna over the mountains back to your hotel. You will ride a fabulous biking road that winds over the Apennines for over seventy miles.

Another round trip to San Gimignano, Pisa and Lucca will also take you via the famous Chianti wine region. As you ride across the nearby hills, you will have a spectacular view of the fourteen towers of the walled town of San Gimignano.  They rise up like medieval skyscrapers.

Pisa was once known as a rival to Genoa and Venice. However nowadays it is best known for a building project gone terribly wrong. The leaning tower is in the charming town center. The numerous cafes and restaurants are also everywhere around it.

Lucca is hidden behind towering medieval walls. It has cobbled streets, bustling piazzas and busy promenades that make the town a perfect place to explore. Here it is also tempting to just sit down and people watch.

This is a land of great food tradition. You will have an opportunity to taste the dishes made of real Tuscan ingredients. Such as wild boar, wild mushrooms, chestnuts as well as truffles and of course the local olive oil.

Finally your return journey to the UK will take you again through Switzerland and Germany as well as France.

This is a memorable motorcycle tour in one of Italy’s most fascinating regions. It is also a place of tradition, history, food, culture as well as rewarding biking roads.
