Tour Information

Motorcycle tour to Slovenian Alps is a fantastic way to experience something new. It is a delightful country with warm and friendly people.

This is a small and beautiful country. It has vast forests, dramatic caves and gorges as well as crystal clear mountain rivers and lakes. Together with historic castles and peaceful alpine villages makes a great biking destination.

Your motorcycle tour starts with the Channel crossing to Calais. After a relaxing ride across France and Belgium you will spend the first night in Luxembourg. Your hotel is located in the center of the historic town. It is overlooked by the imposing medieval castle.

On route you will enjoy the hospitality in biker friendly hotels in Germany and Austria.

In Slovenia your hotel is located at Lake Bohinj. It offers mountain views of the Julian Alps. During your stay you can visit the Vintgar Gorge.  Which is a popular natural tourist attraction in Slovenia. The path leads along the wooden bridges and galleries above the rushing white water river and waterfalls.

While here you will also have the opportunity to visit the Postojna Caves. It has 13 miles of natural tunnels.  Narrow passages lead to the spectacular galleries as well as stunning rock formations. However the most popular part of the whole visit appears to be a two mile journey on a mining train.

If you have some time to spare we recommend you visit the Predjama Castle. It is about 700 year old and dramatically located on a 250 foot high cliff.

Another popular ride out follows the twisty roads through the Triglav National Park. It includes a ride over Vrsic Mountain pass via beautiful ski resorts of Bovec and Kranjska Gora.

During the summer season there are many cultural events worth a visit. Most of them are staged in Bled.

The most famous event here is the Bled Days. This happens every 3rd weekend of July each year. It is the home of Art and Craft Fair with beautiful floating lights displayed on the lake.

The Violin Festival traditionally happens in the last days of June and in July. It takes place at different locations in Bled and its surroundings.

Every August the town becomes alive during the Okarina Ethno Festival. It stages performances of local as well as international ethno musicians.

For more information please visit the Bled Tourist Information website.

Still for the more adventurous ones there is an opportunity not to be missed. Of course it is lunch at one of the local taverns offering a range of local delicacies. We recommend the mixed grill! Also try the Kremsnita (custard slice) at Lake Bled.

From Slovenia your journey continues to the Italian Dolomites. Here you will stay for one night in a four star biker friendly hotel. Your ride will take you via the enjoyable switchbacks of the Mauria Pass and at the picturesque alpine lake of Misurina.

Leaving the Dolomites behind you will arrive at your next destination in the Swiss Alps. You will stay in another comfortable family run hotel. The popular ski resort of Zernez is your home for the next two nights. Here a day off can be used to take a ride around the local mountain passes. They include Stelvio and Umbrail as well as Ofen. As a bonus on the way to your next overnight stop you’ll also have a chance to ride the fantastic Fluela pass.

Finally to bring this great tour to its conclusion you transit via the Black Forest and ride some great roads through rural France.
