Tour Information

Luxembourg is less than 4½ hours away from Calais. Your tour will take you through beautiful countryside dotted with small towns and villages. Combination of a comfortable hotel and good food as well as fantastic biking roads makes this region an ideal destination for a leisurely break or your first bike trip into Europe.

You will start your tour with an early crossing to Calais and a relaxing ride into Belgium. For those with longer journeys to Folkestone alternative crossing can be arranged.

For the next four nights you’ll stay in the small historic town in the heart of Luxembourg. It has a medieval fortified hilltop castle and scenic whitewater river.

Your hotel is located in the town centre. It offers secure underground parking and has an indoor swimming pool. It also has a lovely terrace with beautiful views and a restaurant as well as a friendly bar.

The hotel is only a short strolls away from the medieval part of the town. It is also conveniently placed for visits to the local bars and restaurants. The town restaurants are well known for serving a wide range of local specialities. You can try smoked ham, snails, trout, game and of course chocolate and pastries.

Once you settle in there are several ride out options you may choose from. One of them is to ride our proposed day trip to the neighbouring vine growing Mosel region.

Another option is to take a ride to Ardennes in Belgium and visit the smallest town on earth Durbuy. According to some also one of the prettiest. The old town dates mainly from the 17th century. Its narrow cobbled pedestrian streets winding between the ancient houses make it very pleasant place to soak up the atmosphere and perhaps have lunch.

A separate day trip may include a ride to another small medieval town in Ardennes. Dinnat is located on the river Meuse. It offers an excellent opportunity for a relaxing stroll around the town and to have lunch in one many cafes and restaurants.

Whether you are planning a short relaxing break taking in idyllic countryside, riding superb biking roads, flavouring delicious cuisine, or preferring to visit some of the historical sights of the area… with Luxembourg you can’t go wrong!
