Tour Information

The Italian Dolomites motorcycle tour has it all. It has excellent biking roads and mountains of outstanding beauty. As well as traditional food it also includes great hotels.

With their limestone peaks the Dolomites are the most beautiful part of the Italian Alps.

It is an unspoiled region of lakes, vast forests and Alpine pastures. With its spectacular mountain passes it presents itself as one of the most attractive destinations for bikers.

You will start your journey from Folkestone and ride through rural France. Your first overnight destination will be in Luxembourg.

During the next two days you’ll continue through Germany and Austria with an overnight stop in each country.

The Black Forest will be your first over night stop. Here you will stay in a three star family run hotel. Your host will also treat you with a delicious four course German supper.

Upon your arrival to Austria you’ll receive a similar hospitality treatment. The difference being that the hotel star rating and the number of evening meal courses will increase by one.

Your route from Austria will take you over the Timmelsjoch Pass. This is one of the most desirable and highly rated passes for most bike riders.

You will be staying in the small enchanting Alpine resort. The hotel is built in traditional Alpine style. It is surrounded by fir trees and snow-covered peaks that turn a spectacular pink at sunset.

Your four star hotel has an indoor swimming pool as well as wellness centre. In addition it has a bar and an excellent restaurant. There is also secure covered parking and bike cleaning as well as maintenance facilities.

The owner and his team will ensure that you experience the best of their hospitality. They take great pride in their food and tradition. Therefore only local produce is used to prepare the meals.
Your host is enthusiastic biker and he loves to ride with his guests. He will also be happy to give you tips for your solo rides.

From here you will be able to visit one of the most glamorous Italian ski resorts. This includes the well known Cortina d’Ampezzo. Also the historic towns of Bolzano and Bruneck are near by. Finally you may choose to have a lunch on the shores of Lake Misurina.

You will also have an opportunity to ride spectacular mountain passes. These include the famous Sella Ronda and Passo di Castalunga as well as Stelvio. As tempting as it may be just to ride please take your time to stop and take photos. There are also plenty of places for coffee stops and cable car rides.

The return leg of your journey will take you via Austrian Tirol, the Black Forest and the Champagne region.

You will enjoy this tour of the Italian Alps on and off the bike. It is a very unique motorcycle touring holiday. To fully appreciate this tour one visit might not be enough!
