Join us on this exciting Grand European self guided motorcycle tour. It will take you through some of the most spectacular scenery of seven different European countries. These include the Champagne region, the Black Forest, Austrian Tyrol, Slovenian lakes, Croatian coast and Italian Dolomites as well as the Swiss Alps.
After the Channel crossing from Folkestone you will ride through Northern France. You will spend the first night in the Champagne region. Your hotel is of three star quality located in a rural setting in the middle of an ancient forest.
The next morning you’ll continue your journey into the Black Forest. This is one of the most attractive biking destinations in Europe. Here you will stay near lake Titisee in one of our biker-friendly hotels. It has an excellent restaurant and a well stocked wine cellar.
Next you cross into Austria. Here you will stay in a four star hotel.
A morning ride across Austria will take you to your next destination. Slovenia is a delightful country with a warm and friendly people. It has vast forests, dramatic caves and gorges. In addition it has many crystal clear mountain rivers and lakes as well as historic castles and peaceful alpine villages. Your home for the night will be a tree star hotel at Lake Bohinj. It is situated in an idyllic location with views of the lake and the mountain peaks of the Julian Alps. It has an indoor swimming pool and restaurant as well as safe parking.
Following the scenic country and mountain roads you will leave Slovenia behind and cross into Croatia. For the next two nights you will stay in a famous coastal town. In Porec you will stay in a three star hotel near the marina. It has a restaurant as well as safe parking. On your day off you can visit the remains of the Roman amphitheatre in Pula and the old town of Rovinj as well as Hum the smallest city in Europe. In addition you can visit the medieval hill top town of Groznjani which is also an artist colony.
From Croatia you’ll once again cross Slovenia and continue your journey to the Italian Dolomites. Here you will stay for a night in a three star biker-friendly hotel. You will arrive to the Italian Dolomites via the enjoyable switchbacks of the Mauria pass. You may choose to stop for the lunch at a picturesque alpine lake Misurina.
Fantastic scenery, expensive jewelry and fast cars as well as fur coats. This is all synonymous with the glitzy ski resort of St Moritz and your home for next two nights. Here a day off can be used to take a ride around local mountain passes that include Stelvio, Umbrail as well as Ofen. In addition as a bonus on your way to and from St Moritz you’ll also ride Julier and Fluela pass.
Finally to bring this fantastic loop around Eastern and Western Europe to it’s conclusion you’ll cross yet another few borders and ride some great roads through Germany and rural France.
