Self-Guided Tour 7 - Grand European Motorcycle Tour
Depart and return when it suits you

Join us on this exciting tour that will take us through some of the most spectacular scenery of seven different European countries including the Champagne region of France, the Black Forest of Germany, the Austrian Tyrol, Slovenian lakes, Croatian coast, Italian Dolomites and the Swiss Alps.
After the Channel crossing from Folkestone and a ride through Northern France, you’ll spend the first night in the Champagne region of France. Your hotel is of three star quality located in a rural setting in the middle of an ancient forest.
The next morning you’ll continue your journey into the Black Forest, one of the most attractive biking destinations in Europe. Here you’ll stay near lake Titisee in one of our biker-friendly hotels, with an excellent restaurant and well stocked wine cellar.
Next you cross into Austria where you’ll stay in a four star hotel (with bike-garaging) which is run by a husband and wife team who are also keen bikers themselves.
A morning ride across Austria will take you to your next host country - Slovenia. This is a delightful country with a warm and friendly people, vast forests, dramatic caves and gorges, crystal clear mountain rivers and lakes, historic castles and peaceful alpine villages. Your home for the night is a tree star hotel at Lake Bohinj that is situated in an idyllic location with views of the lake and the surrounding mountain peaks of the Julian Alps and has an indoor swimming pool, restaurant and safe parking.
Following scenic country and mountain roads you leave Slovenia behind and cross into Croatia. For the next two nights you’ll stay in the costal resort of Porec in a three star hotel near the marina with a restaurant, and safe parking. On your day off you can visit the remains of the Roman amphitheatre in Pula, the old town of Rovinj, Hum - the smallest city in Europe numbering only seventeen residents and the medieval hill top town of Groznjani which is also an artist colony.
From Croatia you’ll once again cross Slovenia and continue your journey to the Italian Dolomites where you stay for a night in a three star biker-friendly hotel. You’ll arrive to the Italian Dolomites region via the enjoyable switchbacks of the Mauria pass and picturesque Alpine lake Misurina where you may choose to stop for the lunch.
Fantastic scenery, expensive jewellery, fast cars and fur coats, this is all synonymous the glitzy ski resort of St Moritz and your home for next two nights. Here a day off can be used to take a ride around local mountain passes that include Stelvio, Umbrail and Ofen. And as a bonus on your way to and from St Moritz you’ll also ride Julier and Fluela pass.
Finally, to bring this fantastic loop around Eastern and Western Europe to it’s conclusion you’ll cross yet another few borders and ride some great roads through Germany and rural France.
This tour has it all - great country roads and mountain passes, carefully selected biker-friendly hotels, stunning scenery, delicious local cuisines and fine wine - a true motorcycle holiday.
