Self-Guided Tour 4 - Champagne Motorcycle Tour

This tour might be short but it’s certainly bubbly
The Champagne region of France is less than 4½ hours ride from Calais and is an ideal location for a Grape Weekend.
This tour if perfect for those who have not toured in Europe before or can not get much time off work.
As this trip is usually only four days (can be extended) long we recommend that you take an early channel tunnel crossing (or use alternative port). This will allow you to ride small country roads, enjoy the fantastic French country side, have more coffee or tea breaks and still arrive to your hotel in plenty of time for an evening meal.
Your three star hotel is idyllically located in the heart of the Champagne region and has an outdoor swimming pool, safe parking, beer / wine terrace, bar and it’s own excellent restaurant.
From here, by following your route pack, you can explore the region by visiting numerous family run champagne houses and witness tradition of wine production that has not changed for centuries.
The XVIII century chateau is only twenty miles down the road where you may take an English speaking guided tour and sample some of the bubbly (I do not drink but I would recommend the rose).
If you fancy a bit of hustle and bustle of a city then you might opt to take a short ride to the medieval town of Troyes where you will find plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. Very pleasant place to spent few hours relaxing and soaking up the atmosphere.
If you are feeling more adventurous you may just get on your bike set off in any direction and when you had enough set your GPS to take you back to the hotel. This is a fantastic way to explore the country side and ride with out feeling any obligation to follow any instructions and route directions.
We had some fantastic rides and discovered some of the best roads ourselves or with the group by riding this way.
