Self-Guided Tour 7 - Eastern Europe Motorcycle Tour
Depart and return when it suits you

Tour where West meets East, tradition meets modern and mountains meet plains
After the Channel crossing from Folkestone and a ride across Belgium, Holland and northern Germany you’ll board the overnight Motorail to Austria.
This allows you to arrive to Slovenia on the second day saving you three days of solid motorway riding.
The following day you ride through Austrian and Julian Alps towards your first Eastern European destination.
With the beautiful Karavanke mountain range behind you and river Drava as your guide you enter the Panonian Plains of Hungary.
Your base for next two nights is the little spa resort on the shores of the thermal lake.
On your day off you may opt to ride around Lake Balaton and explore the numerous lakeside towns and villages or park the bikes and relax and enjoy the curative properties of the thermal lake.
Your route towards Serbia will take you across the vast Hungarian plain (Puszta) which during the 5th century was the playground of the Attila the Hun and his tribesmen. Their exceptional horsemanship left a legacy that is still evident today in numerous equestrian centres across Hungary.
Your furthest destination on this tour is our hometown in Serbia. This is a historic town built by Austro-Hungarian Empress Maria Teresia during the 18th century.
Your accommodation for two nights is a traditional farm house that has been converted into a comfortable three star hotel with modern facilities.
River Drava, your guide once again, will take you to Zagorje region of Croatia.
Your base for two nights is another spa resort located deep into the forests of Zagorje hills. Here you have the opportunity to rest and enjoy the hotel’s fantastic leisure facilities.
In Slovenia you stay in a three star hotel situated in the Triglav National Park in a small alpine hamlet overlooking a peaceful valley surrounded by dramatic mountain peaks of the Julian Alps.
It is time to cross the Alps again and leave Eastern Europe behind. Your next stop is the famous ski resort of Zell am See in Austria (ride over GrossGlockner). From here the route takes you through Black Forest followed by Champagne region and finally back to UK.
