Self-Guided Tour 3 - Ardennes Motorcycle Tour
Depart and return when it suits you

Belgium, easily accessible from the UK and perfect destination for a short break or a first motorcycle trip into Europe
The Ardennes, with it’s beautiful wooded hillsides dotted with small towns and villages sheltered under steep hillsides, deep ravines riddled with caves, rivers that wind their way through undulating countryside and fantastic biking roads make this region an ideal destination for a short break or your first motorcycling trip into Europe.
You start this tour with an early departure from Folkestone and relaxing ride from Calais into Belgium. For those with longer journeys to Folkestone alternative crossing and meeting point can be arranged.
For the next three nights you’ll stay in the small historic town of Bouillon with its famous fortified hilltop Godefroid castle and scenic Semois river.
Your four star hotel is situated overlooking the castle and has all en-suite rooms, a lovely terrace with beautiful views, a restaurant, bar, buffet breakfast and secure parking.
The hotel is also well located for short strolls around this fantastic small medieval city and convenient for visits to the local bars and restaurants. Also worth mentioning that the he local restaurants are renowned for their wide range of cooking and local specialties; local recipes and specialities of the Ardennes, smoked ham, snails, trout, game… and of course famous Belgian chocolates.
Once you settle in there are several ride out options you may choose from. One of them is to ride our proposed day trip to the neighbouring Luxembourg which is only less then few hours away.
An other option is to take a ride to the smallest town on earth Durbuy which is, according to some, also one of the prettiest. The old town dates mainly from the 17th century with its narrow and cobbled pedestrian streets winding between the ancient houses makes it very pleasant place to soak up the atmosphere and perhaps have a spot of lunch.
This day trip also includes a visit to an other small medieval town of Dinanat situated on the banks of river Meuse. The skyline of the town is dominated by a hundred meter cliff and its two main structures; the Cathedral of Notre Dame and the Citadel with fortress.
Whether you are planning a short relaxing break taking in idyllic countryside, riding superb biking roads, flavouring delicious cuisine, or preferring to visit some of the historical sights of the area... with Ardennes you can’t go wrong!
