Adriatic Coast Motorcycle Tour

Don’t miss this opportunity to visit what is often regarded as the ‘French Riviera of Eastern Europe’

After a short Channel Tunnel crossing you’ll ride across Holland and northern Germany to board the overnight Motorail to Austria.

The next morning, after disembarking from the train, you’ll continue your journey through Slovenia and the Croatian region of Zagorje towards Kumrovec, the birthplace of the late Marshall Tito.

A free day can be used to visit the former president’s house which has been turned into a museum, or alternatively you may opt to have a quiet day off the bike and make full use of the hotel’s fantastic leisure and spa facilities.

The next morning, you’ll follow winding roads through the Zagorje Hills towards the breathtaking Plitvice National Park where you may choose to stop for a tour of the lakes and for lunch.

Your journey continues by descending in the direction of the Adriatic coast and to your next overnight destination, a four star hotel located near a small fishing port. The hotel has its own excellent restaurant, indoor swimming pool, sports and leisure facilities, private beach, sauna, massage, beauty therapist and secure parking.

From now on navigation is simple - the sea to the right and the mountains to the left - all the way to the historic city of Dubrovnik. Your base for the next three nights is a small coastal town south of Dubrovnik.

On your days off you may choose a boat trip to Dubrovnik and a tour of the old walled city that will reveal its finest sites such as the Franciscan Monastery and Dubrovnik's Cathedral with its famous Treasury.

If you take a fancy on one of the free days you can take a ride to Montenegro, the smallest state in the Balkans.

On your way back, with two overnight stops you will ride the entire length of the fantastic Adriatic coast with majestic blue seas to your left and stunning mountain ranges of Biokovo, Mosor and Velebit to your right.

Your next destination is the costal resort of Porec and a three star hotel near the marina with a restaurant, bar  and safe parking. On your day off you can visit the remains of the Roman amphitheatre in Pula, the old town of Rovinj, Hum (the smallest city in Europe numbering only seventeen residents) and the medieval hilltop town of Groznjani which is also an artist colony.

No visit to Croatia would be complete without ordering a fish platter featuring the best of the local catch, real feast.
