Tour 5 - Alpine Circle Motorcycle Tour

The best of the Alps - Bavarian Alps , Austrian Tyrol, Italian Dolomites and Swiss Alps - all in one tour.
This is a fantastic motorcycle tour that includes four of the most beautiful Alpine regions: Bavarian Alps, Austrian Tyrol, Italian Dolomites and Swiss Alps. We’ll ride some of the most exhilarating and challenging mountain roads and passes, visit some of the best known tourist attractions and pass through some of the most famous Alpine destinations.
After a short channel crossing we’ll ride along almost traffic-free roads through rural French countryside towards our first overnight stop in a three star hotel situated in the heart of the Aube region. The next morning we’ll continue our journey towards the Black Forest where we stay in a delightful family run biker-friendly hotel.
From here we move on to our first Alpine destination and the well known ski resort of Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the Bavarian Alps. The town is overlooked by Germany’s highest peak Zugspitze which can be reached by taking a mountain train and a short ride on a cable car. Our free day can also be used to take a ride to Fussen to visit the magnificent castles of Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein. Our hotel is conveniently located in the centre of the town close to many traditional Bavarian bars, cafes and restaurants.
Onwards over the Fern Pass into Austria where we’ll base ourselves in a four star hotel located in the picturesque town of Zell am See surrounded by panoramic views of the lake and snow capped mountain peaks. The day excursion will include a ride to the “Eagle’s Nest”, Hitler’s mountain-top hideaway that was built for him for his fiftieth birthday.
The next morning we’ll ride over the Grossglockner mountain pass and continue towards the Italian Dolomites, our next port of call. This is an unspoiled region of ragged peaks, crystal clear lakes, vast forests, green pastures and traditional Alpine villages. Here we’ll stay overnight in a three star hotel that has an indoor swimming pool, wellness centre, safe parking and its own restaurant.
From the Dolomites we move on to Switzerland, riding the challenging Umbrail, Stelvio and Bernina mountain passes and arrive at our next destination, the world’s most glamorous ski resort of St Moritz. En route we stop to explore the charming medieval alpine village of Glorenza.
To conclude our Alpine Circle Tour we’ll ride over the Fluela pass and continue to the Black Forest.
However, prior to our return to the UK, we’ll still have two days of riding some fantastic almost traffic free roads through Germany and France.
On this tour all hotels are located in lovely locations and the owners are welcoming towards motorcycling guests.
